We are blessed to have a WONDERFUL NEW Massage Therapist calling the House of Self Empowerment her home – CAROLINA DELGADO offering breakthrough (at least for me - where she started breaking down areas that NO ONE’s been able to do & with just the first session!!) NEURO-MUSCULAR & LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE & a LOTS more!!  Carolina is a nurse (trained in the U.S.) & has an AMAZING knowledge of the body as well as EXTREMELY INTUITIVE on MANY levels!!  She can also come to your office/home & do an ERGONOMICS EVALUATIONS!

COMMENTS:  The first time I went to Carolina for the Neuro-Muscular work, she stretch my back muscles+ in different directions then ANYONE else has done & my back went crack-crack the whole week!!  In just a few sessions she's been able to break down/release LOTS of pain/build up that's been accumulating for the 15+ years of sitting in front of a computer 10-15 hours a day as well as a back injury from about 20 years ago!

She is more for people TRULY ready to commit to a theraputic program of healing!

Rodrigo is one of the BEST Massage Therapists MY body has EVER experienced (all of our bodies are different & even for me - EVERY time my body desires something different!)!!! He is one of the Massage Therapists for the CR Soccer Federation (over 8 years) and he’s been doing professional massages/physical therapy for OVER 20 years & even taught massage at THE massage school in Costa Rica. He knows so a lot about the mechanics of body (inside and out) - both clinical and when he taps in intuitively - he gets to the right spots to get maximum relief/results. A professionally trained massage therapist is important but someone that brings in a DEEP intuition is CRUCIAL to me as I’ve been receiving massages regularly for over 30 years and sadly, the most clinical/ detached/unintuitive/worst massages I’d ever received prior to connecting with Rodrigo (and one other gal that seems to have disappeared) have sadly been in Costa Rica (MANY seem to go to the same school & learn the same technique/rythm - SOOO NOT tapping into my bod. I want someone that taps into what MY body is saying - not just what they’ve learned or is their usual routine!). One client he worked on had her hip misplaced in child birth 17 years before & nothing had fixed it - till ONE session with Rodrigo!! He’s mainly available on the weekends & sometimes on weeknights after 6:30pm or so plus he sometimes travels internationally with the Costa Rica National Soccer Team - Selecion.

TECHNIQUES: He knows Sports Massage, Deep Tissue, MEGA Stretch, Thai (including some new technique he's using with bamboo), Shiatsu, Reflexology, Holistical Massage incorporating the mind, body and Spirit; Biomechanical, he knows many chiropractic type moves (note that he is NOT a chiropractor!!), INTUITIVE!!!  He can give an AWESOME nurturing/relaxing massage!!

INVESTMENT IN YOUR BODY:   SPECIAL TILL FEB. 10, '09 - $35/session + tip (former clients still your original rate till Feb. 10, '09) (Reg. Rate: Locals $40/session, Non-Locals $45/session). Rate is if you come to him at The House of Self Empowerment in Escazu. Rodrigo often goes over an hour (he's been known to do 1 1/2-2 hours because he actually LISTENS to whatever your body needs! Novel concept eah?!?!) - PLEASE be VERY generous in your tip) OR he can come to you with his table for plus $10 PLUS his taxi fare to/from wherever he’s coming from (just the initial $10 if you have your own table).

MEMBERSHIP: Membership is a $20/10,000 deposit (that you get back when you close your membership.  We have a deposit because sadly too often people forget to return things. If the item is valued over $20 to replace, we ask for an additional deposit which is returned to you when you return the item.  Whatever you gave us is what’s returned – no matter what the value of it is at that time).
